Key-values are very powerful way to organise your data. They allow to search and organise your data. The simplest example is a key or attribute separated by a colon :
, followed by a value.
For example:
dose : 100
time : 2
There are four ways to add key-value pairs to your data in OMERO. The csv route is probably the most convenient. It may be more difficult to learn how to extract key-values from filenames, this is a very powerful way to quickly organise your metadata.
Manually
1.Through the Description
2.From the filenames
3.From .csv file
4.Key-Value naming conventions
- No spaces
- No underscores
- Use CamelCase. For example
LabBook
, notlab book
orlab_book
.
