Connecting to the VPN on MacOS
When connecting to the VPN through vpn.uts.edu.au your computer may need to download and install some software. On newer versions on MacOS this may be blocked as it not recognised as coming from a trusted source.
To install the VPN software you will need to explicitly authorise this in your system preferences.
1. Go to System Preferences
Click on the apple menu then select System Preferences:
2. Click on the "Security & Privacy"
3. Allow application from identified developers
You may need to allow you Mac to install applications from developers in addition to those from the App Store.
Click the lock and enter your password to make changes Under the header “Allow apps downloaded from.”, select: App Store and Identified Developers
Click the lock to close it and save the changes to your settings.
4. Click 'Open Anyway'
On the General tab the name of the last blocked application will appear.
To authorise this click 'Open Anyway'
A warning prompt will reappears, but you can click Open.
