After going through the steps to [turn on the instrument](./Turning-on-the-Nikon-Ti-Microscope), open the `Nikon Elements AR` icon on the desktop.
|

|
|
|
|
If you have the [default layout loaded](./Load-default-layout) you will see these toolbars on the right hand monitor.

1. **Camera settings**: controls exposure and gain
|
|
|
2. **Ti Pad** : controls which lens, light paths, bright-field lamp, and filter is used.
|
|
|
3. **System info**: a quick summary of the lens status
|
|
|
4. **Spectra Pad**: controls the fluorescence excitation light source
|
|
|
5. **Optical Configurations**: saves the lens, light source, filter settings
|
|
|
6. **ND Acquisition** design Multi-channel, Z-stacks, Timelapse and large image experiments.
|
|
|
7. **LUTs** Lets you alter the Look Up Tables and see a histogram to cehck your exposure. |
