Your filenames already carry important information about your experiment such as sample, treatments, dyes etc. There is a script called Key-Values from Description that can extract this information and store it in key-values pairs.
The script does the following:
Reads a template for how to chop the filename up
Reads the 'slot numbers' below the template for what key to store the values in
Then chops up each file name to extract the values, matches them with a key, then stores the key-value pairs with the image.
