+## Mounting a sample
+
+1. Select a low magnification lens (10X or 20X)
+
+2. Escape the lens 
+
+3. Make sure the [correct stage insert](./Stage-inserts) is installed. 
+
+4. Put your sample in the holder. Remember, flip your slides so the coverslip faces the lenses.
+
+5. Refocus the lens
