Turn on the switches in the following order (red stickers with numbers

on each box). The most important thing is that the Nikon software is started last.

1. XY stage motor controller

2. Brightfield Illumination Light

3. Camera. The camera which is usually used the CCD Nikon CoolSnap HQ2 - the switch is on the left. There is also a EMCCD Cascade 1K camera - the switch on left side.

4. Light engine
|
|
|
|
|
|
5. Shutter controller
|
|
|
|
|
|
6. Microscope body
|
|
|
|
|
|
7. Start up the NIS Elements software
|
|
|
|
|
|
**To turn everything off,** just turn off in the reverse order
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Clear State Solutions Controller TCH 882-G-COM (blue box) controls
|
|
|
the environmental chamber and is only to be changed by Mike Johnson. You
|
|
|
will need to book its use and inform Mike what you need when you make
|
|
|
your booking.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Please allow sufficient time for the microscope to heat
|
|
|
etc if you need to have a controlled atmosphere (ie, no last minute
|
|
|
bookings for this).
