 Tags are applied to independly to `image`,  `dataset` and `project`. The process is the the same for each.
 
 ## To images
 
-1. Click on the `image`,  `dataset` and `project` to select it.
+1. Select the image eith by clicking on the name in the tree view on the right pane or on the thumbnail in the central pane. Then open the `Tags` dropdown on the right hand pane:

+2. In the 'Tags' dropdown you can add remove existing tags by clicking on the minus icon, or add new tags by clicking on the plus icon.  Clicking on the plus icon takes you to the [tag management](tag_management) window.
