The easiest way to upload data is to use the OMERO.insight application. This is installed on the computers attached to the microscopes, there should be a shortcurt on the desktop.
|

# Adding files to the import queue
|
|
|
|
3. To upload an image click on the icon at the top of the window
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
4. This opens the *Import Data* window. You can navigate the local filesystem of computer in the left hand pane. On the right hand side is a list of files to upload to OMERO. The arrows in the middle add and remove images from the import queue.
|
|
|
|

|
|
5. To add aimage to the queue selecting a file in the right hand pane and click the right facing arrow. A window will open asking which ```project``` and ```dataset``` in OMERO you like to save to the files to.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
From the dropdown menu you can select an existing ```project``` and ```dataset``` or create to new ones. Note that if you click new the window to name new ```project``` or ```dataset``` may be hidden behind the current windown.
|
|
|
|

|

|
|
6. Once the ```project``` and ```dataset``` have been selected click the ```Add to the Queue``` button.
|
|
|
|
7. The Import Data window now has files you selected added to the queue on the right pane.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
As ```project``` and ```dataset``` have been set steps 5 and 7 can be repeated until the dataset is complete.

## Adding tags
|
|
|
|
1. Tags can be added to all files by clicking ```options``` at top of the import queue
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
2. Clicking the + button will open the tag window.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
3. This tags to the all of the images in the import queue. Tagging your data will help you keep your data organised.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
You can either add existing tags from the left hand pane or create new tags from the bottom of the window.
|
|
|
|
4. After selecting or creating the tags click ```Save```.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
5. The tags are now listed on the Import data window. You can quickly remove tags by cliking the - icon to the right of the tage or you can return to the Tag Selection window by clikcing the + icon.
|
|
|

## Importing
|
|
|
|
Once you have added all the files and tags click the `Import`` button. This will add a tab to the Import Data window that show the progress of the the importing process.
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
While your images are being imported can return to the Select Data at to add more data.
|
|
|
